DatasheetDatasheet
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers Jurkat-Tg(Human Foxp3)-Luc reporter cell line which the Foxp3 gene stably expressed in Luc reporter Jurkat cells.
Description
The Jurkat-Tg(Human Foxp3)-Luc reporter cell line is a type of Jurkat T cell line that has been genetically modified to express a luciferase reporter gene under the control of the human Foxp3 promoter. This allows researchers to easily monitor the expression of the Foxp3 gene, which is a master regulator of regulatory T cell function. These cells are commonly used in immunology research to study the role of regulatory T cells in immune responses, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.

Background
The Foxp3 gene is a gene that plays a critical role in the regulation of the immune system. It is primarily expressed in regulatory T cells (Tregs), which are a subset of T cells that help maintain immune tolerance and prevent autoimmune diseases. Mutations in the Foxp3 gene can lead to a severe immune disorder called immune dysregulation, polyendocrinopathy, enteropathy, X-linked (IPEX) syndrome. This syndrome causes a variety of autoimmune symptoms, including diabetes, thyroid disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
