PharmaOnco™ Jurkat-Tg(Human GITR)-NF-κB Reporter Cell Line, Single Clone (CAT#: ITS-0822-HMM160)

DatasheetDatasheet
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers Jurkat-Tg(Human GITR)-NF-κB reporter cell line which the GITR gene stably expressed in NF-κB Luc reporter Jurkat cells.
Description
The Jurkat-Tg(Human GITR)-NF-κB reporter cell line is a cell line derived from Jurkat cells that have been engineered to overexpress the human glucocorticoid-induced tumor necrosis factor receptor (GITR) gene and contain a NF-κB reporter gene. This cell line is used as a tool for studying the NF-κB signaling pathway in response to GITR activation. GITR is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily and is known to play a role in regulating immune responses, particularly T cell activation. Activation of GITR has been shown to enhance T cell proliferation and cytokine production, making it a potential target for immunotherapy.

Background
The GITR gene, also known as Glucocorticoid-Induced TNFR-Related Protein, encodes a protein that is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. This protein is involved in the regulation of various immune responses, particularly in the activation of T cells. It has been studied for its potential role in cancer immunotherapy, as it has been shown to enhance the anti-tumor immune response when targeted with agonistic antibodies. Additionally, the GITR gene has also been implicated in the regulation of autoimmune diseases and inflammation.
