Description
RH7777-Tg(Human LPA2 Receptor) Division-Arrested Cell was engineered to express the receptor human LPA2 (NM_004720.4). This cell line can be used to study LPA2 receptor function, signaling pathways, and potential therapeutic interventions. Dividing-arrest cells are cells that are normally kept under specific culture conditions or treated with agents that prevent cell division from being held in a non-dividing state. This can be achieved through methods such as serum starvation, chemical inhibitors of cell cycle progression, or genetic modification.

Background
The lysophosphatidic acid receptor LPA2 or endothelial differentiation, G-protein coupled receptor 4 (EDG-4) is expressed most abundantly in testes and peripheral blood leukocytes. It is reported to be a distinctive functional marker for ovarian carcinoma.

Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance. Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
