Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide Kasumi-3-based In Vitro TO-PRO Assay (Cell Viability) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
Kasumi-3
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
The cell line was established from the blast cells of a myeloperoxidase-negative acute leukemia patient. Treatment with either interleukin (IL)-2, IL-3, IL-4, granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GMCSF) or stem cell factor induced the proliferation, characteristic of undifferentiated leukemia.
Related Diseases
Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia; AML
Research Area
Oncology
Assay Name
In Vitro TO-PRO Assay (Cell Viability)
Short Description
Kasumi-3-cell based In Vitro TO-PRO Assay (Cell Viability)
Assay Description
The dyes in SYTOX family (blue, green, orange and red), TOTO and TO-PRO are other fluorescence dyes, which can penetrate only into dead cells to determine the cell viability.
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
