Human Breast Cell MDA-MB-436-based Proliferation Assay Service
Tumor cell proliferation assays are commonly used to measure the growth and division of cancer cells in response to various treatments or experimental conditions. Creative Biolabs has launched a proliferation assay using MDA-MB-436 human mammary cells that can assess the growth rate of these cells under various conditions.
MDA-MB-436-based Proliferation Assay at Creative Biolabs
Our proliferation assay based on MDA-MB-436 cells offers a reliable and efficient method for studying cell growth and viability in a variety of research settings. By measuring cell proliferation over a specified period of time, you can gain valuable insights into the effects of different treatments or conditions on cell behavior. This assay provides accurate and precise results, making it an essential tool for any laboratory studying cell biology or cancer research.
Assay Information
Assay Procedure
Thaw MDA-MB-436 cells from frozen stock and culture them in appropriate growth medium in a humidified incubator at 37°C and 5% CO2.
Prepare a single-cell suspension of MDA-MB-436 cells using trypsin-EDTA and count the cells using a hemocytometer.
Seed the cells at a desired density in 96-well plates.
- Treat the cells with different concentrations of compounds or growth factors of interest.
- Include appropriate controls in the assay.
- After the desired incubation period, assess cell viability using a luminescence assay.
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions to perform the assay and measure the absorbance or fluorescence using a microplate reader.
- Calculate the percentage of cell proliferation in treated wells compared to control wells using the following formula:
% Proliferation = (ODtreated - ODblank) / (ODcontrol - ODblank) x 100
- Graph the data as a dose-response curve or bar graph to visualize the effects of treatments on cell proliferation.
By following this procedure, you can assess the proliferative capacity of MDA-MB-436 human breast cells in response to different treatments and study their growth kinetics in vitro. The results from this assay can provide valuable insights into the biological properties of these cells and aid in the evaluation of potential anti-cancer therapies.
