Short Description
This IHC kit offers a complete solution for ADRP staining, providing all necessary reagents in a convenient and ready-to-use format for a streamlined workflow and reliable results.
Description
ADRP (Adipocyte differentiation-related protein), also known as ADFP, adipophilin, or perilipin-2, belongs to the PAT family, which regulates lipid transport and lipid droplet formation. ADRP localizes on lipid droplet surfaces in various tissues and cell lines. It is undetectable in undifferentiated cells but rapidly increases during adipocyte differentiation. Anti-ADRP antibody is a reliable marker for lipid droplets. Elevated ADRP expression is associated with lipid storage disorders such as hepatic steatosis, atherosclerosis, and diabetes. Immunohistochemistry for ADRP can aid in the histopathological diagnosis of these diseases.
