Short Description
This IHC kit provides a robust and reliable method for AGT detection, featuring pre-optimized reagents and a user-friendly protocol for consistent and reproducible staining.
Description
Angiotensinogen is the precursor to angiotensin II (Ang II), primarily synthesized in the liver. It is cleaved by renin in response to reduced blood pressure and contributes to vascular constriction and fluid homeostasis. Angiotensin I is subsequently converted to angiotensin II by angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). Mutations in this gene are associated with hypertension, renal tubular dysgenesis, atrial fibrillation, and inflammatory bowel disease.
