Annexin A2 (ANXA2), also called Annexin-2 or Lipocortin II, is a calcium-binding protein that is upregulated in cancerous cell lines and tumors. It plays a role in membrane binding and cross-links phospholipids with actin and the cytoskeleton. It is involved in exocytosis and may play a role in the heat stress response.
