Beta-2-microglobulin (B2M), is a component of MHC class I molecules found on the surface of nearly all nucleated cells. It can be found in body fluids under physiological conditions as a result of shedding from cell surfaces or intracellular release. B2M has various biological functions, including antigen presentation, and increased synthesis and release of B2M are observed in several malignant diseases.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
