CTSD (Cathepsin D), also known as CPSD, belongs to the peptidase A1 family. It is widely expressed and plays a role in proteolytic degradation, cell invasion, and apoptosis. Human CTSD is synthesized as a precursor and converted into an active intermediate in endosomes, eventually maturing into its active form. This lysosomal acid protease is found in neutrophils and monocytes and is implicated in diseases such as breast cancer and potentially Alzheimer's disease.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
