Description
CD13, also known as APN, ANPEP (aminopeptidase N), or PEPN, belongs to the peptidase M-1 family. It is a heavily glycosylated type-II membrane protein expressed in myeloid cells, renal proximal tubules, small intestine, prostatic epithelium, mast cells, and some fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells. CD13 plays roles in angiogenesis, cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation.
