Keratins are a large family of proteins forming the intermediate filament cytoskeleton of epithelial cells. Type I keratins, including K9-K23 and hair keratins Ha1-Ha8, are acidic, while Type II keratins (K1-K8 and Hb1-Hb6) are basic or neutral. KRT7 (cytokeratin 7) is a type II basic keratin expressed in simple epithelia and their neoplasms but not in carcinomas of stratified squamous cell origin.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
