It interacts with coregulatory proteins like NCoR and Smad4 to inhibit TGF-beta signaling pathways. DACH1 also has tumor-suppressive properties, particularly in breast cancer, by controlling cyclin D1 expression. Additionally, DACH1 plays a role in regulating RANKL gene expression in osteoblast precursor cells and is involved in the progression of endometrial cancer.
