Aromatic-L-Amino-Acid Decarboxylase (DDC), belongs to the pyridoxal-dependent aminotransferase superfamily. DDC catalyzes the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to dopamine, L-5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin, and L-tryptophan to tryptamine. DDC deficiency causes aromatic L-amino-acid decarboxylase deficiency (AADCD). Research has shown that DDC is involved in the biosynthesis of bioamines and catecholamines.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
