EGFR (also known as ERBB1) is a cell-surface receptor for members of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family. Ligand binding triggers receptor dimerization and tyrosine autophosphorylation, leading to cell proliferation. EGFR plays a crucial role in cancer progression, influencing processes like cell growth, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and metastasis. Mutations in EGFR are commonly associated with lung cancer.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
