Description
Ezrin, Radixin, and Moesin (ERM family) are proteins that link plasma membranes to the actin-based cytoskeleton. Ezrin is considered an oncogene, with high levels associated with metastatic behavior in cancers such as osteosarcoma, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and breast cancer. Ezrin also plays a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).
