OncoIHC™ FABP5 Ready-To-Use IHC Kit

CAT#: ITS-1122-ZP4916
Product Type: Kit
Target: FABP5
Short Description
Ensure consistent FABP5 staining with this pre-prepared IHC kit, supplying reagents tailored for efficient, start-to-finish staining.
Description
FABP5, also named PA-FABP and E-FABP, belongs to the calycin superfamily and the Fatty-acid binding protein (FABP) family. It has high specificity for fatty acids, particularly those with C18 chain length. It may be involved in keratinocyte differentiation. FABP5 is expressed in the epidermis and endothelial cells of the microvasculature of different organs. It has also been identified as a tumor-associated antigen, which is highly expressed in various cancers. FABP5 was detected in the sera of HNSCC patients with early-stage cancer. Antibodies specific for FABP5 were significantly increased in a substantial number of patients, suggesting that FABP5 may be a potential diagnostic biomarker for HNSCC and may serve as a biomarker for HNSCC.

IHC Control Slides
Creative Biolabs control slides are prepared using top quality tissues that have been processed, embedded and sectioned following standard operating procedure. We provide the following antigen (tissue) controls:
- Positive control: a section from a tissue known to express the protein of interest.
- Negative control: a section from a tissue known not to express the target antigen.
- Endogenous tissue background control: a section from the tissue that doesn't have a primary antibody applied.
Tissue Samples
Creative Biolabs also offers biospecimen including formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks, fresh or snap frozen tissue blocks, tissue microarray (TMA) slides. Please contact us to request a customized price quotation.
