GSTT1, a member of the GST superfamily and Theta family, is involved in the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a wide range of electrophilic compounds, including both exogenous and endogenous substances. It acts on various substrates, such as 1,2-epoxy-3-(4-nitrophenoxy)propane and phenethylisothiocyanate. GSTT1's glutathione peroxidase activity is also significant in detoxifying harmful agents in the large intestine. Variations in GSTT1 expression have been linked to an increased risk of cancer.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
