GYS1 (Glycogen synthase, muscle) is the rate-limiting enzyme for insulin-induced glycogenesis, which transfers glucose from UDP-Glc to glycogen. It facilitates the addition of glucose residues to glycogen, allowing for the storage of glucose to meet metabolic demands. Two isoforms of GYS1 exist due to alternative splicing.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
