Short Description
This complete IHC kit for HP offers a direct approach to staining, equipping users with reagents from antigen retrieval to slide mounting.
Description
Haptoglobin (HP), also called zonulin, is a plasma glycoprotein that binds free hemoglobin, preventing kidney damage due to hemoglobinuria. It has a tetrameric structure, consisting of two alpha and two beta polypeptides. Alterations in HP oligosaccharide structures are linked to various diseases. For instance, highly fucosylated forms are associated with breast and ovarian cancers, while sialylated forms are found in Crohn's disease. Fucosylated HP is a promising biomarker for pancreatic cancer.
