Alpha actinins are conserved actin-binding proteins that facilitate actin crosslinking. Four isoforms exist: ACTN1 and ACTN4 are expressed widely, while ACTN2 and ACTN3 are found in striated muscles. ACTN1 has isoforms specific to smooth muscle or brain tissue.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
