IgM is the first immunoglobulin expressed during B cell development and plays a critical role in the primary immune response. IgM antibodies help recognize external invaders like bacteria and viruses, cellular waste, and precancerous/cancerous lesions. Mutations in the μ heavy chain gene are linked to lymphoproliferative disorders and various lymphomas, including multiple myeloma and mantle cell lymphoma.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
