Leptin, secreted by white adipocytes, plays a major role in body weight regulation. It is crucial in energy balance and acts on hypothalamic neurons to control food intake, thermogenesis, and blood glucose levels. Leptin also regulates immune responses, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and wound healing. Mutations in leptin or its regulatory regions cause severe obesity and related disorders, including type 2 diabetes mellitus.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
