Target: S100B
Short Description
Ensure reliable S100B staining outcomes with this ready-to-use IHC kit, delivering reagents for a complete staining process.
Description
S100B is a member of the S100 family containing two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. It regulates cellular activities such as metabolism, motility, and proliferation. In the nervous system, it is released by astrocytes and can promote neurite outgrowth and protect neurons from oxidative stress. S100B is considered a marker for astroglial activation and is linked to schizophrenia. It is released by various cell types, including adipocytes, chondrocytes, cardiomyocytes, and lymphocytes.

IHC Control Slides
Creative Biolabs control slides are prepared using top quality tissues that have been processed, embedded and sectioned following standard operating procedure. We provide the following antigen (tissue) controls:
- Positive control: a section from a tissue known to express the protein of interest.
- Negative control: a section from a tissue known not to express the target antigen.
- Endogenous tissue background control: a section from the tissue that doesn't have a primary antibody applied.
Tissue Samples
Creative Biolabs also offers biospecimen including formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks, fresh or snap frozen tissue blocks, tissue microarray (TMA) slides. Please contact us to request a customized price quotation.
