ACTA2 (α-Smooth muscle actin or α-SMA) is a member of the actin family, involved in cell motility and widely expressed in eukaryotic cells. It is mainly found in vascular smooth muscle, and anti-ACTA2 is used as a marker for smooth muscle cells. This kit is specific to smooth muscle actin.
