Short Description
For precise VCAM-1 staining, utilize this ready-to-deploy IHC solution, simplifying procedures from antigen retrieval through coverslipping.
Description
Vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM1, CD106) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in immune response. It is expressed by cytokine-activated endothelium, interacts with integrin VLA4 (α4β1) on leukocytes, and mediates adhesion and signal transduction. VCAM1 is also expressed in various other cell types, including smooth muscle cells, skeletal muscle cells, and macrophages.
