Short Description
Ensure reliable von Willebrand factor staining outcomes with this all-inclusive IHC kit, delivering reagents for a complete staining process.
Description
Von Willebrand factor (VWF) is a large multimeric glycoprotein in blood plasma involved in hemostasis following vascular injury. VWF, synthesized by endothelial cells and megakaryocytes, ranges in size from 500 to 20,000 kDa. It functions as an adhesive plasma glycoprotein for factor VIII and is crucial for platelet adhesion to wound sites by binding to collagen types I and III, with larger VWF multimers being most effective.
