Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide PC-9-based In Vitro SYTOX Assay (Cell Viability) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
PC-9
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
PC-9 is lung adenocarcinoma cell line with a deletion in exon 19 of the EGFR gene that exhibits high sensitivity to TKIs. The PC-9G cell line (PC-9 cells resistant to gefitinib) was established by long-term exposure to gefitinib, and was shown to harbor the EGFR T790M mutation.

Assay Name
In Vitro SYTOX Assay (Cell Viability)
Assay Description
The dyes in SYTOX family (blue, green, orange and red), TOTO and TO-PRO are other fluorescence dyes, which can penetrate only into dead cells to determine the cell viability.
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
