PC-9 In Vivo Tumorigenesis Assay

CAT#: ITS-0123-YF838
Target Cell Organism: Human
Target Cell Name: PC-9
Assay Type: Oncology In Vivo Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide PC-9-based In Vivo Tumorigenesis Assay to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
PC-9
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
PC-9 is lung adenocarcinoma cell line with a deletion in exon 19 of the EGFR gene that exhibits high sensitivity to TKIs. The PC-9G cell line (PC-9 cells resistant to gefitinib) was established by long-term exposure to gefitinib, and was shown to harbor the EGFR T790M mutation.

Assay Description
Tumorigenicity is defined the property of a cell to form tumors when inoculated into an immunosuppressed animal model. Generally, test cells and tumor cells as positive control are administered subcutaneously into immunosuppressed nude mice. The number of animals developing tumors are compared with a positive control reference cell line.
