Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers Peptidoglycan and (1->3)-β-D-glucan Detection Kit to help you quantify your assays.
Description
This product can detect both peptidoglycan (PG) and (1->3)-β-D-glucan (BDG). It employs a self-defense mechanism derived from the silkworm Bombyx mori, resulting in a color change due to the formation of black melanin pigment in the presence of microbial contamination. Given that PG is present in all bacterial cell walls and BDG is found in most fungi, the SLP (silkworm larvae plasma) reagent serves as a highly sensitive and versatile method for identifying microbial contamination.
Features
BDG Detection Limit: 1pg/mL;
PG Detection Limit: 10pg/mL.
Applications
Detection of fungal compounds in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biologics, and genetically engineered products.
