Product Type: Small Molecules
Species: Human, Mouse, Rat, Non-Human Primate, Other
Product Overview
Phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate, a phorbol ester, is a reversible, highly potent activator of protein kinase C (PKC). It works as a tumor promoter and is involved in gene transcription, cell growth, differentiation, programmed cell death, immune pathway and receptor desensitization via PKC signaling pathways. It can also induce differentiation of THP-1 monocytes to a macrophage phenotype in vitro.
