SK-MES-1 In Vitro 7-Aminoactinomycin D Assay (Cell Viability)
CAT#: ITS-0123-YF2643
Target Cell Organism: Human
Target Cell Name: SK-MES-1
Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide SK-MES-1-based In Vitro 7-Aminoactinomycin D Assay (Cell Viability) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
SK-MES-1
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
SK-MES-1 is a human lung cancer cell line that displays epithelial morphology and grows as monolayers in tissue culture. These cells exhibit a cytokeratin expression pattern typical of simple epithelia (i.e., CK7, CK8, CK18, and CK19), and similar to that found in adenocarcinomas.

Assay Name
In Vitro 7-Aminoactinomycin D Assay (Cell Viability)
Assay Description
7-Aminoactinomycin D is a fluo rescent dye that can also be used to detect viable/non-viable cells (excluded by viable cells) by fluorescence microscopy and FCM.
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
