CAT#: ITS-1022-YF4636
Target Cell Organism: Human
Target Cell Name: SNB-19
Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide SNB-19-based In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
SNB-19
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
SNB-19 is a human glioblastoma cell line that was isolated from a left parieto-occipital glioblastoma of a 47-year-old male patient in 1980. In a 1988 study, published in Cancer Research Journal, the SNB-19 cell line was the most clonogenic in soft agar and showed the most tumorigenicity in nude mice.

Assay Name
In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability)
Short Description
SNB-19-cell based In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability)
Assay Description
The intact cell membranes cannot recruit these dyes into cells. Trypan blue can enter into non-viable cells, while viable cells exclude trypan blue. The trypan blue exclusion assay is a simple and commonly used assay for cell viability determination.
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
