Magic™ Recombinant Human P2RY12 Membrane Protein in Virus-Like Particles (MP-VLPs) (CAT#: S01YF-0622-KX91)

This product is recombinant Human P2RY12 in VLPs form. This product is produced from HEK293 by co-expressing the retroviral structural core polyprotein (gag) and the target membrane protein. MP-VLPs display highly-expressed copies of membrane proteins in their native conformation, providing an alternative to membrane protein stable cell lines, membrane preparations, detergent-solubilized proteins and other membrane protein preparation strategies. MP-VLPs can be used for a wide range of applications in antibody production, antibody discovery, antibody characterization, binding assays and functional assays.

Target

  • Target Protein
  • P2RY12
  • Full Name
  • Purinergic receptor P2Y12
  • Introduction
  • The product of this gene belongs to the family of G-protein coupled receptors. This family has several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity, which overlaps in some cases, for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. This receptor is involved in platelet aggregation, and is a potential target for the treatment of thromboembolisms and other clotting disorders. Mutations in this gene are implicated in bleeding disorder, platelet type 8 (BDPLT8). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene.
