This product is an antibody that was generated by immunizing rabbit against a recombinant protein fragment from the C-terminal region of FABP7. It is used only in in vitro assays.

Introduction: FABP7 was initially isolated from a human fetal brain cDNA library and whose mRNA was expressed in adult brain and muscle tissues at low levels. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fatty acid binding protein (FABPs) family, a group of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands.
Conjugate: None
Antibody Isotype: IgG
Applications: WB
Host Species: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: Human; Mouse; Monkey; Rat
Immunogen: A recombinant protein fragment from the C-terminal region of FABP7
Purification: Protein A Affinity Chromatography
Format: Liquid
Concentration: 0.5 mg/mL
Buffer: PBS with 0.1 mg/ml BSA and 0.05% sodium azide
Storage: Store at -20⁰C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Alternative Names: B-FABP; BLBP; FABP7; FABPB; MRG
Entrez Gene ID: 2173
Function: B-FABP could be involved in the transport of a so far unknown hydrophobic ligand with potential morphogenic activity during CNS development. It is required for the establishment of the radial glial fiber system in developing brain, a system that is necessary for the migration of immature neurons to establish cortical layers (By similarity).
