Observable green fluorescence of GFP is very helpful for a large range of cell biology research. Our GFP-expressing smooth muscle cells are derived from the cynomolgus monkeys' normal tissues. The ones from the bladder are isolated by transducing GFP-lentiviral particles. They are harvested and preserved in vials when at passage 3 and can be cultured for about 3-5 passages under a suitable medium.
