Introduction
Alphavirus belongs to the Togaviridae family and contains a single-strand, positive sense RNA genome. Alphavirus's more than 30 species can infect vertebrates including humans, birds, rodents, fish, horses, and invertebrates. Alphavirus is an arbovirus that transmit among individuals primarily through mosquitoes. The virions of alphavirus are enveloped and have a diameter of 70 nm. The genome of the virus encodes four non-structural proteins and three structural proteins.
