Poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether-block-poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (VCar-Ly002)
Poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether-block-poly(lactide-co-glycolide), a random copolymer.
Applications
For many biomedical applications such as drug delivery devices, sutures and implants.
Purity
Lactide:Glycolide (50:50)
Introduction
The polymer can be approved for many biomedical applications such as delivery devices, sutures and implants. It is a random copolymer with physical and mechanical properties that can be easily tuned by altering the lactide to glycolide ratio. Through combining emulsion/solvent evaporation and miniemulsion techniques, it is possible to produce biodegradable nanoparticles with a controlled size and narrow size distribution.
