Introduction
Echinococcus Granulosus, also known as the hydatid worm, hyper tapeworm or dog tapeworm, is a ring-shaped aphid that lives in the small intestine of the canine as an adult, but it has important intermediate hosts, such as livestock and humans, causing cystic echinococcosis, also known as hydatid disease. Echinococcus Granulosus is a member of the genus Echinococcus of the family Taeniidae. It is an adult form of small tapeworm that rarely reaches 7 mm in length. The tapeworm consists of a head (or scolex) and a body (or strobila) with 3 or 4 proglottids and the last one has a mature egg. Proglottids contain male and female organs and serve as reproductive units.
