Originally known as Equine Morbillivirus, Hendra virus is a zoonotic viral disease virus that was first discovered in Hendra, Australia, in 1994-1995. It can cause serious respiratory infections. The typical features of the disease are severe dyspnea and high mortality, and the virus also manifests as a human contact infection. Hendra virus is a single-stranded RNA virus with a diameter of 150-250 and an envelope.
