Recombinant MAYV 6K Protein Protein (Full Length) (VAng-Wyb3711)
Mayaro virus (strain Brazil) 6K Protein, recombinant protein.
Applications
Used for immunoassay.
Introduction
Mayaro virus (MAYV) is a mosquito-borne zoonotic pathogen. They are mainly popular in some humid tropical forests in South America. The symptoms after infection with the virus are manifested as acute, self-limited dengue-like. MAYV belongs to the Togaviridae family, genus Alphavirus. Similar to other alphaviruses, dengue-like diseases caused by infection with this virus are usually accompanied by more persistent arthralgia pain. The virions exhibit an icosahedron with a diameter of approximately 70 nm and the genome is a linear single-stranded RNA. The polyprotein encoded by the 5'-proximal ORF of the viral genome will be cleaved into four non-structural proteins, nsP1, nsP2, nsP3, and nsP4, while the polyprotein encoded by the 3'-proximal ORF will be cleaved into structural proteins including capsid protein and envelope glycoproteins (E1, E2, E3, C, 6K).
