Introduction
Oropouche virus (OROV) is the most common virus species of genus Orthobunyavirus. The virus causes oropouche fever after infection. In the tropical and subtropical regions of central and southern America, OROV is causing an increase in infections and thus is being considered a public health threat. OROV is also an arbovirus. The viruses mainly contain four genotypes, each of which is divided into different strains according to the location of the separation. Studies of the virus have found that its DNA fragments can cause autophagy, and Hela cells are often used to study the autophagy mechanism of the virus.
