Serum-Free Suspension ST Cell Line Culture for Pseudorabies Vaccine Production

Swine testis (ST) cells are regarded as one of cell lines most suitable for producing vaccines against pseudorabies virus. Creative Biolabs is developing a low serum media for full suspension culture of ST cells. The media supports the high-density full suspension culture of the ST single cells, greatly shortening the time for educating the ST cells from the serum adherent cultured cells to the serum-free full suspension cultured cells and is applicable to the mass production of biological products and particularly the veterinary biological products, including vaccines against pseudorabies virus. This media has been tested for its ability to support high-density suspension cultures of ST cells adapted from adherent culture platforms.

Serum-Free Suspension PK-15 Cell Line Culture for PCV2 Vaccine Production

Cultivation of PCV2 virus in vitro has been carried out in porcine kidney epithelial (PK-15) in laboratories world-wide. At present, a micro-carrier adherent culture production method utilizing a PK-15 cell line to culture the pseudorabies virus has already been developed. Although the technological method can reach certain production scale, it still has some defects. In view of the deficiencies of the traditional methods, Creative Biolabs is developing a serum-free media for full suspension culture of PK-15 cells. The media supports the high-density full suspension culture of the PK-15 single cells, greatly shortening the time for educating the PK-15 cells from the serum adherent cultured cells to the serum-free full suspension cultured cells.

Serum-Free Suspension MDCK Cell Line Culture for Avian Influenza Vaccine Production

The development of a serum-free suspension cell culture process is very important for influenza vaccine production. Several suspension cell lines have been established and applied in influenza vaccine production, including MDCK, PER. C6, AGE. CR, EB14/EB66, and CAP. In particular, for influenza production, serum-free suspension culture of MDCK cells has been developed in Creative Biolabs. This suspended MDCK cell line in serum-free media shows great potential for influenza vaccine production.

Serum-Free Suspension BHK Cell Line Culture for Newcastle Disease Vaccine Production

Newcastle disease (ND) is one of the most important viral disease infecting chicken, which causes devastating losses in both commercial and village chickens. Newcastle disease can be controlled by the use of vaccines, which are available in Creative Biolabs. Serum free media has been developed in Creative Biolabs to grow a specific cell type or perform a specific application in absence of serum. Our serum free media for Baby Hamster Kidney (BHK) cell line is highly specific and is ideal for production of recombinant proteins or vaccines.

Serum-Free Suspension ST Cell Line Culture for Porcine Parvovirus Vaccine Production

Swine testis (ST) cells have been considered to be one of the cell lines most suitable for producing vaccines against porcine parvovirus. Creative Biolabs has developed a range of low serum or serum-free media for full suspension culture of ST cells. The media has been tested for its ability to support high-density suspension cultures of ST cells adapted from adherent culture platforms. This is a complete media that will support growth of ST cells without further supplementation.

Serum-Free Suspension BHK Cell Line Culture for Rabies Vaccine Production

Very few cell lines are currently used for the production of rabies vaccines for veterinary use: NIL2 and BHK-21. Generally, BHK-21 Cl3 cells are grown as surface adherent cells in media containing serum (SCM) which may be replaced by bovine serum albumin (BSA), which have several disadvantages. Satisfactory serum-free medium would be very useful for developing a less expensive bioprocess for biologicals as well as for avoiding many of the problems of variability and contamination associated with sera. Several serum-free medium have been developed in Creative Biolabs and are currently used for the production of inactivated vaccines against rabies virus.

Serum-Free Suspension Insect Cell Line Culture for Subunit Vaccine Production

Recombinant baculoviruses are attractive for high-level production of large eukaryotic proteins and has been extensively utilized for the production of many recombinant proteins and commercial vaccines. The development of a serum-free suspension insect cell culture process is very important for recombinant subunit vaccine production. Creative Biolabs has developed an animal origin-free formulation, a complete serum-free, protein-free medium for robust cell growth, protein expression and baculovirus vector production for a wide range of insect cells such as Sf9 and High5.
