IVD Antibody & Immunoassay Development Services for AMH Marker

As a world-leading services provider of application-specific antibody development, Creative Biolabs introduces our in vitro diagnostic (IVD) antibody development and immunoassay development services for the anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) marker to improve the diagnosis of ovarian diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and granulosa cell tumor (GCT).

Introduction to AMH Marker

AMH is a homodimeric glycoprotein that belongs to the transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) family. The 5-exon, 2.75-kb AMH gene is located on human chromosome 19p13.3 and encodes a 560-amino-acid glycoprotein that forms a 140-kD homodimer. AMH is first known for its role during sexual differentiation. The secretion of AMH by the embryonic testes can inhibit the growth of the Müllerian (female) ducts in the embryogenesis while testosterone produced by the testes causes the Wolffian ducts, which are responsible for male reproductive parts, to survive. AMH is also known for its role in ovarian function and regulating sex steroid production. Studies have reported the applications of AMH is the clinical field, including:

  • Used to assess ovarian reserve and the capacity to provide eggs for fertilization.
  • Used for prediction of response to controlled ovarian stimulation.
  • Used for evaluation of sexual ambiguity and to distinguish between hypogonadism and delayed puberty.
  • Used in the diagnosis and management of patients with a GCT.
  • Used as diagnostic tools for PCOS.

Development of Immunoassays for AMH Measurement

As AMH has been identified as a marker of different ovarian disorders, diagnostic immunoassays can be developed for AMH measurement to aid in the clinical diagnosis of these diseases. Reported immunoassays have used antibody pairs directed to different epitopes of AMH to measure the level of AMH with relatively high specificity and sensitivity. At Creative Biolabs, we have established a comprehensive IVD platform to offer unparalleled custom-specific IVD antibody development services clients with IVD requirements. We also offer one-stop immunoassay development services for AMH marker, providing antibody development, antibody conjugation, assay design, protocol establishment, optimization, and kit production services.
