Since 1975, monoclonal antibody has played a vital role in the treatment of diverse human diseases including cancer, autoimmune disorders, viral infections, etc. Various species can be applied to produce monoclonal antibodies. Although human is the best choice of host, it is not ethically acceptable, neither can human be subjected to extreme immunization routines like other animals. One popular animal model, mouse, which is easy to manipulate, has critical defects due to high immunogenicity, resulting in concerns about efficacy loss and severe safety issues. The unique and patented CAMouse™ VHL strain, which allows robust antibody generation in mice with fully human properties, provides a good solution to this challenge.

CAMouse™ VHL strain is specially engineered based on the world-leading transgenic technology with unparalleled efficiency. The entire human IgG genes (including heavy/light chain constant regions) were introduced into endogenous Ig gene-silenced mouse germline. Rodent regulatory segments were also introduced to ensure antibody diversification. After immunization, a large pool of full-length human IgGs will be obtained. Of note, a unique “switch” strategy has been used to avoid incompatibility during B cell development and maturation. Therefore, the resulting antibody repertoire will be completely human sequence, while immune system performance will not be compromised in this process.
