Description
Researchers at the Creative Biolabs have developed Human Multiple Myeloma (MM) PBMCs that allows for study in numerous research areas, such as immunology, oncology. The cells can be used for a wide variety of safety assessment and functional assays.
Background
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a blood cancer that is characterized by rapidly proliferating plasma B cells. Normal plasma B cells secrete antibodies in response to infections and/or foreign substances. However, in multiple myeloma, plasma B cells divide continuously, which interferes with the production and development of other blood cells in the bone marrow. Subsequent crowding of the bone marrow space will also lead to aberrant plasma cells exiting the space and causing further damage to outside organs.
