Short Description
Visualize A2M with precision using this comprehensive IHC kit. It includes all necessary reagents, meticulously prepared to ensure optimal staining and accurate target detection.
Description
Alpha-2-macroglobulin (α2M or A2M) is a protein found abundantly in vertebrate plasma and serves as a nonspecific protease inhibitor. It plays an important role in the innate immune response by inactivating a variety of proteases, such as trypsin, thrombin, and collagenase. Though primarily produced in the liver, A2M is also expressed in other tissues like the reproductive tract, heart, and brain. It is involved in numerous physiological processes and is linked to conditions like Alzheimer's disease.
