Protein biopharmaceuticals exhibit significant heterogeneity during production, purification, handling, storage, and usage that affect the pharmacological characteristics, biological activity, pharmacokinetics, and safety of antibody drugs. By a combination of high-performance liquid chromatography (LC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) platforms, Creative Biolabs can deeply characterize peptide mapping in biologics and protein products.

Peptide Mapping Identification Process

Creative Biolabs utilizes sequence-specific enzymes to digest protein samples, obtaining unique and predictable digestion fragments. These short peptides will be further separated through liquid chromatography to control the complexity of the submitted sample.

Obtained samples will be ionized and measured by MS for m/z. Our bioinformatics specialist will compare the experimental data systematically with peptide masses and fragment masses in the sequence database and provide you with the best-matched scoring results.

Sample Collection Protocol

We have developed different collection and digestion procedures for various types of protein samples. We welcome protein samples in the form of gel strips, gel blocks, or protein solutions. Any information regarding handling methods, buffer formats, and antibody types would be greatly appreciated.

Other sample formats (cell culture or tissue) are also acceptable. If you are unsure about the proper format or handling method for your sample submission, our team of experts is ready to provide technical guidance and support.
