All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

The vector of anti-C76H142O15 T cell receptor (TCR) is constructed for the engineering of T cell to target C76H142O15 (alpha,alpha'-trehalose 6,6'-bismycolate) restricted by human CD1b. The T cells are genetically modified through transduction with a lentiviral vector expressing C76H142O15-specific T cell receptor.

Target

  • Introduction
  • Mycobacterium tuberculosis synthesizes a thick cell wall comprised of mycolic acids (MA), which are foreign antigens for human T cells. T cell clones from multiple donors were used to determine the fine-specificity of MA recognition by human αβ T cells. Most CD1-presented lipid antigens contain large hydrophilic head groups comprised of carbohydrates or peptides that dominate patterns of T cell specificity. MA diverges from the consensus antigen motif in that it lacks a head group.
