Protein Information
Protein Name Recombinant Human RNF31 protein, Fc Tag
Alternative Names HOIP; Paul; ZIBRA; IMD115
Gene Name RNF31
Species Human
Introduction RING finger protein 31 (RNF31, also HOIP) is the catalytic component of the linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex (LUBAC), containing a RBR domain (RING1, IBR, RING2) that catalyzes linear (M1-linked) ubiquitination.
Function RNF31 (HOIP) is the catalytic core of the Linear Ubiquitin Chain Assembly Complex (LUBAC). In targeted protein clearance, RNF31 recruitment introduces a non-canonical degradation pathway by generating linear ubiquitin chains on neo-substrates, altering their intracellular trafficking and marking them for proteasomal destruction.
